I found this video of a guy sighting in his Horton Summit crossbow which displays the power and accuracy of the budget priced bow. It’s still more expensive than a Handi-rifle but for people in areas where firearms ownership is a headache (which I understand fully, I’ve lived in both New jersey and New York City) or if you’re are prohibited from owning a firearm a good crossbow makes a fine survival weapon, hunting tool and if pressed into service can stop at least one home invader dead in his tracks.
In the video the bow is being sighted in with a peep sight but you can get a Horton Summit combo with a red do scope on Amazon for under $250. Worth looking into.
